West Nile virus detected in some areas of Palo Alto and Stanford. County to spray mosquitoes on Thursday, July 27

Santa Clara County Vector Control District will spray parts of Palo Alto and Stanford with mosquito treatment to suppress West Nile virus activity after some mosquitoes tested positive, according to a district advisory.

Mosquitoes infected with West Nile virus have been detected in a small area within these cities. Spraying to reduce adult mosquito populations will take place on Thursday, July 27 starting at about 10 p.m. and will last approximately four hours, according to the district.

The treatment will use truck-mounted equipment to spray in ZIP codes 94301, 94304, 94305, and 94306. An interactive map of the streets and neighborhoods can be found here.

CTRA Board Meeting Agenda: May 17, 2023

The next CTRA board meeting will take place on Wednesday, May 17, 2022 at 7:00pm at the College Terrace Library.

At this month’s meeting, we’ll begin with a quick meet and greet followed by discussions on housing in College Terrace, developments on California Avenue, CTRA finances and fundraising, and proposed CTRA goals for 2023-24.

All neighbors are encouraged to attend!

Reminder: CTRA Annual Meeting on Saturday

Just a friendly reminder that the CTRA will hold its annual meeting and board election THIS SATURDAY at the University Lutheran Church sanctuary (1611 Stanford Ave at Bowdoin). Here’s the schedule:

All College Terrace residents are invited and encouraged to attend. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet and reconnect with neighbors from all over College Terrace and hear directly from the mayor on issues of importance to our neighborhood. Hope to see you there!
